is anyone else going to the burlesque show on saturday???
a few weeks ago, we bought a bread machine. i've been wanting to get into making my own bread, but everytime i think about it, i laze out. bread machines are great for lazy people, especially dirt cheap bread machines! i made a few tasty 1 pound loaves: rosemary bread, challah. but then i tried to make a 2 lbs loaf of challah, so that we could give half away. it just kept rising and rising in the machine. it kept rising as it started to bake, too. by the end of the bake cycle, it had completely blown the lid off, and was spilling over the edge of the machine. it was a disaster. don't think i'll be making a 2 lbs loaf again any time soon.
